  • Social Media leader to spread the word and grow the movement of collective habit change.
  • Communications Leader who enjoys people and persuasion to take the message to coffeehouses throughout the Seattle area and bring them aboard the campaign.
Heroes in Green
Who are we? Heroes in Green wants to help to heal the world by inspiring people to take action through an engaging, educational online game. We provide players with real-world missions to improve their environmental footprint, using data backed by real scientific research. With each successful mission you will see your accomplishments represented by a growing virtual ecosystem that shows the impact of your actions in a concrete way. With information on how to do each mission and the ability to set up reminders that will be delivered to your calendar or phone, we give you the tools to succeed - and by providing a way to see that everything you do really does matter, and that you are not alone in working to do good, we give you a reason to succeed.
What we need: We are a small organization that recognizes that our members are volunteers with busy lives. We are asking for someone who can commit 3-4 hours a week, ideally on Monday nights. We need someone who has a solid background in Ruby. Javascript, CSS and/or experience with setting up and running hosted sites is a plus. We have much of our basic structure in place, but we have a number of features left to implement, and we need to optimize and polish much of what we do have. We are also going to want to build mobile (Iphone, Android, other) versions once we have things solidified a bit more. Interested?
