Subject: Farmers Market & Chefs Team up for a Fabulous Summer Feast Alert to all U-District Farmers Market Shoppers, Supporters, and Lovers of Fabulous Food: SEATTLE‘S BIGGEST GATHERING OF GOURMET CHEFS -TO HONOR LOCAL FARMERS MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Please join us for Seattle’s best celebration of food, farmers and fun! The second annual Incredible Feast - Where the Farmers are the Stars will take place this year at the site of the future Phinney Farmers Market: outdoors at the Phinney Neighborhood Center in north Seattle. Twenty-one well-known Seattle chefs will team up with 25 local farmers to create unique, sumptuous, seasonal dishes for guests to sample, along with Washington State wines and local microbrews. There will be fabulous live music, county fair-style games, great prizes, and a raffle featuring an astounding hand-made quilt by local artist, William Keegan. Guests will also be able to “shop the farmers market” and buy fresh fruits and vegetables direct from the farmers at the event. The event is a benefit for the 2007 opening of the Phinney Farmers Market: all proceeds will help fund the start-up costs of the new market located outdoors on Friday evenings at the Phinney Neighborhood Center. Organized by Chef Tamara Murphy of Brasa Restaurant and the Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance (a 501 c 3 organization), attendance is limited and tickets are expected to sell out before the event.
