In 2004 and 2005 International Sustainable Solutions brought over 100 Northwest architects, real estate developers, city officials and others to the Scandinavian Green Roof Institute (SGRI) in Malmö, Sweden to learn about the benefits of low impact, affordable green roofs. In order for more people to hear about the work of the Institute, ISS is bringing Louise Lundberg, the superintendent of the Institute, to Seattle. She will be joined by trip participants who came back home and have since worked toward furthering the use of green roofs here.
