Presentation by Wendy Brawer about the Green Apple Map (NYC) and an Update on the International Accomplishments of the Green Map System o Discussion of the Seattle Green Map Project, Project Plans and Activities, and a Glimpse of the Draft Interactive Online Map with 600+ Sites Nominated So Far Wendy Brawer is an exciting and very visual presenter--this special lecture is not to be missed! Wendy has a diverse and accomplished background as an ecological designer and artist. She started the Green Apple Map in the early 1990s and it quickly became a worldwide phenomenon. Her story provides an inspiring example of how one may resourcefully apply one's talents toward establishing a sustainable society. She lectures on sustainability at New York University. Wendy Brawer's honors and leadership roles include: o Co-Founder, O2NYC and active member of O2 Global Network (US Liaison) o Chaired the Industrial Designers Society of America's Committee on Environmental Concerns in 1993-1995 o Board member for the NY Chapter of Architects/Designers/Planners for Social Responsibility (ADPSR) since 1996 o Designer in Residence at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution in 1997 o One of I.D.
