Lake City

Document Actions
Lake City was annexed by the City of Seattle in 1957. Lake City is blessed with the presence of such noteworthy natural features as the Lake Washington shoreline and Thornton Creek. Lake City stretches from NE 95th Street to the Seattle city limits at NE 145th Street centered along Lake City Way NE with its western boundary along 15th Ave NE and its eastern boundary defined by Lake Washington.

The Greater Lake City Community Council (GLCCC) feels that Lake City still lacks what is needed to really make the community livable, safe and economically thriving.  GLCCC is working with Sustainable Seattle to ensure that as Lake City becomes denser, it does not sacrifice the needs of its residents and businesses while at the same time providing new economic opportunities.  Through this partnership GLCCC also hopes to assess the quality of the community it represents, survey its needs, and define a new set of priorities.  Additionally, GLCCC would like to use this information to choose the next neighborhood plan items to implement.
