Neighborhood Improvement Grants
Office of Economic Development (OED):
The Façade Improvement Program provides grants to small business owners and commercial property owners to enhance the exterior appearance of their buildings. Façade grants may pay up to 50% of the cost of renovations, in some cases equaling $10,000 of City invested money.

Department of Neighborhoods(DON):
Four different matching fund opportunities are provided through DON.
The Large Project Fund: is for projects which take up to 12 months to complete and need more than $15,000 - up to $100,000.
The Small and Simple Projects Fund: is for projects seeking awards of $15,000 or less and can be completed in 6 months or less.
The Tree Fund: Neighborhood groups can apply for 10 to 40 trees for planting along residential planting strips.
The Neighborhood Outreach and Development Fund (including Small Sparks): Makes awards for projects that involve new people in neighborhood organizations or activities.

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU):
The primary focus of the grant is to provide funds to protect water quality
and to improve awareness by involving neighbors in projects that protect the
quality of surface water. The second focus is removal of graffiti and litter
in and around business districts and neighborhoods in Seattle.

Safeco:
The grant helps neighborhoods flourish and thrive by supporting neighborhood
festivals that attract diverse audiences, community clean-ups and
neighborhood beautification projects, the creation or enhancement of pocket
parks and gathering spaces.
