Meetings of the Steering Committee

The Steering Committee has met five times since it was convened in December 2004.

At the December 1, 2004/January 5, 2005:  The Steering Committee refined its mission, goals, roles and responsibilities

The framework and timeframe was discussed and approved at the February 3, 2005 meeting.  The SC started developing Assets & Concerns.

On March 3, 2005, the Steering Committee discussed and approved principles and criteria for the indicators and provided guidance on the list of civic leaders. 

On April 7, the Steering Committee finalized the preparation for the April 30 Civic Leader Panel

At the June 16 meeting, the Steering Committee reviewed the indicators proposed by the Civic Leaders at the April 30 Panel.  The group also authorize several mini-panels to be conducted over the summer to fill gaps in attendance at the April 30 Civic Leader Panel.

On February 23, 2006, the Steering Committee reconvened to hear the result of the work of the different civic forums and to steer the project toward an on-line database that would build on the work of other indicator producing organizations. 

On September 21, 2006, the Steering Committee met to hear the result of the work of the Technical Advisor Panel and approve a workplan that would lead to the creation of the on-line Indicators Commons
