The 12 Peak Challenge
Six young climbers and filmmakers to inspire the next generation of environmental advocates
Driving from Washington to California and climbing in between they will climb these peaks:
Mt. Baker (WA)
Glacier Peak (WA)
Mt. Rainier (WA)
Mt. Adams (WA)
Mt. Hood (OR)
Mt. Jefferson (OR)
Middle Sister (OR)
South Sister (OR)
Broken Top (OR)
Mt. Bachelor (OR)
Mt. Shasta (CA)
Lassen Peak (CA)
With the best intentions these avid climbers, photographers and filmmakers want to inspire people in their generation to go out and explore nature, and learn from it to live sustainably and responsibly so that they can help to protect it. By showing others the wonders of the mountains and glaciers that have been in our backyards for eons, the team hopes to show people of diverse backgrounds that it’s easier than it may seem to explore the vast realm of our nearby incredible natural world. Living in Western Washington is something that should be taken advantage of, we live in an incredibly diverse and beautiful region.
Daniel, Chris, Logan, Nick, Kyle, and Zeos want to share their challenge with as many people as possible. They are gaining a presence with companies to help support them and help with all the gear, production and supply costs, as well as gaining a great presence on social media.
We love some of the things they have written on their fundraising page,
“You can’t protect something unless you care about it, and you can’t care about something unless you know it.”
Reach them on their Website for their mission and about the team members, see interesting facts and stories about Cascade glaciers on their Facebook and Instagram. The most important thing is that this group of passionate students wants people like you to share their story!
